The aim and purpose of the IPR-Helpdesk is to raise awareness of intellectual property-related issues in EU research and innovation funded projects and not to give legally binding advice. It is intended to provide any relevant information that may be of assistance to current and potential participants in these projects with intellectual property queries or concerns.
IPR-Helpdesk endeavours to deliver a high level service for this purpose. If errors are brought to our attention, we commit to correcting them promptly. However, no guarantee can be made on the correctness or completeness of the information provided and neither the European Commission nor IPR-Helpdesk is responsible or may be held accountable for any loss suffered as a result of reliance upon the services of the IPR-Helpdesk.
Any information given does not necessarily reflect the official position of the European Institutions. In this regard, it should be noted that the information provided is considered to be a first line assistance, and users should contact the competent authorities, organisations, or qualified professionals for more detailed information or for advice on any course of action.
IPR-Helpdesk and privacy policy
Personal Data Protection
Although the website can be browsed without giving any personal information, relevant data may nevertheless be required in order to subscribe the e-services (helpline, newsletter).
IPR-Helpdesk is committed to the privacy policy as embodied in the provisions of the ‘Ley Orgánica 15/1999, de 13 de diciembre, de Protección de Datos de Carácter Personal’.
All personal data collected by the IPR-Helpdesk are processed and protected in accordance with the abovementioned law. The information collected is processed and accessed only by the responsible IPR-Helpdesk staff and it is not used for any other purpose than providing the e-services requested by the users.
The right to access, rectify or cancel personal data is to be exercised, pursuant to article 16 of the Spanish law above, on written request to be addressed to ipr-helpdesk@ua.es and will be processed within 10 days.
