WIPO. Updated Patentscope® includes Japanese as search language
The World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) recently announced that Japanese has been added as a search language in its Patentscope® service. This means that users may use Japanese for patent application searches in Patentscope®. Up to now, the full-text search function has been available in English, French, German, Spanish and Russian.
Patentscope® is a database containing information about international patent applications filed under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT applications). Information on PCT applications can be sought by the use of key words, names of applicants, classification categories, etc.
In addition, WIPO has announced that the interface of Patentscope® is now available in Spanish, English and French, thanks to a cooperation between WIPO and Spanish-language patent offices.
