European Union. Summary of the first EU-Russia Innovation Forum
The First EU-Russia Innovation Forum was recently held in Lappeenranta (Finland). Pro-Inno Europe has developed a summary of the conclusions from the recent forum and the preceding workshops held in Antwerp and Saint-Petersburg, which were co-organised by the INNO-Views project.
The summary includes the policy recommendation for EU-Russia cooperation on innovation. Specifically, key initiatives with regard to the EU-Russia Modernisation Partnership and innovation cooperation followed by a number of cross-cutting activities were decided upon, including the following: modernising Russian companies; visa-freedom; energy efficiency projects; engaging Russia in the EU Digital Agenda; making innovation policy as top priority in the EU-Russia partnership; creating a common research and innovation environment; enhancing innovation support mechanisms; or establishing of a joint innovative actions funded by the EU and Russia.
