European Union. Actions against four Member States before the ECJ for still not having implemented the biotech patents Directive
 
The European Commission seems to be serious about bringing action before the European Court of Justice (ECJ) against those EU Member States that have still not implemented the Directive 98/44/EC on the legal protection of biotechnological inventions. This Directive should have been transposed into national laws by 30 July 2000.

So far, information about actions brought against four Member States has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union (see links below).
