European Patent Office. Poland accedes to the European Patent Convention
On 30 December 2003, the Republic of Poland deposited its instrument of accession to the European Patent Convention (EPC) and to the Act revising the EPC of 29 November 2000.
The EPC will enter into force for Poland in 1 March 2004. Nevertheless, patent applications filed in February 2004 will be accorded the 1 March 2004 as filing date, if the applicant expressly requires so, in order to allow Poland to be designated in European patent applications.
