The mid-term review of new FP6 instruments by an expert panel has been completed

The high level expert panel in charge of the mid-term evaluation of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) new instruments, Integrated Projects (IP) and Networks of Excellence (NoE), has recently completed its work and presented the evaluation results at the informal Competitiveness Council of 3 July.

The final report points out some weaknesses in the implementation of the new instruments, while proposals for actual and future modifications are being made. Among other issues, the panel focused its criticism on the high costs and risks of participation in FP6, as well as on perceptions regarding consortium size under the new instruments.
