Microsoft and Lindows Inc. recently reached a worldwide agreement that puts an end to their trademark infringement disputes
 
In the now famous case between Microsoft and Lindows Inc. as regards the name of their respective operating systems (Windows and Linspire, formerly Lindows), the two companies have recently reached a worldwide agreement that puts an end to their lengthy trade mark infringement disputes.

In accordance with this agreement, whose terms stayed confidential, Lindows Inc. will cease to use the term "Lindows" and will change its company name to "Linspire" over the next few months. All legal actions still pending in the United States and abroad have been dropped.
