The European Commission recently launched an open consultation on the Communication "Science and Technology, the key to Europe's future - Guidelines for future European policy to support research" which it adopted in June 2004, in order to collect interested parties' views on this matter before presenting its legislative proposals related to the future Seventh Framework Program (FP7).
Also, note that the Commission recently launched a consultation to prepare for review of the EU Sustainable Development Strategy.
