| Nice (France), 3-5 December 2002. First Annual epoline Conference

The European Patent Office (EPO) is pleased to announce the first annual epoline conference, which will be held in Nice (France) from 3 to 5 December 2002.
The event will integrate different workshops about epoline electronic products and services together with theoretical conferences and presentations on the patent granting process. The impact of the changing role of intellectual property (IP) today will also play a main role at the Conference sessions.
The Conference is mainly addressed to patent attorneys, their administrative collaborators and other interested parties involved in IP matters, who will be informed of the latest developments in IP e-business as well as about patent-related key administrative and economic issues. Experts from the Office and first-rate figures from economic and industry sectors will conduct the workshops and seminars in the three EPO official languages: English, French and German. According to the preliminary programme, the President of the EPO, Dr Ingo Kober, will be in charge of the opening session.
The registration fee is EUR 175; accommodation and excursions will be charged separately. Participants can register either online or by fax, using the fax form available online. It should be noted that the closing date for registration is 15 November 2002.
