Alicante (Spain), 4 - 5 December 2002, Community Trade Mark Forum
 
From 4 to 5 December 2002 the International Trade Mark Association (INTA) and the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) will organize a two-day forum on the Community Trade Mark (CTM) at OHIM headquarters in Alicante.

Key officials at OHIM and the European Commission, as well as highly experienced practitioners will inform the participants about the opportunities and limitations of the CTM System, and will present the latest developments and practices in the field of the CTM.

In these two days trade mark attorneys and professionals, trade mark owners and anyone who uses or intends to use the CTM system in future will be informed about the following topics: OHIM's role in the CTM; the CTM regulation and system; the European Community Court of Justice's role in the CTM; the CTM and candidate countries; US use of the CTM; Community Designs; CTM Courts; Enforcement and Anti-Counterfeiting. Special emphasis will be placed on the new Community Design.

The event is limited to 200 attendees. Therefore early registration is recommended. The participation fee is EUR 657 (US$ 645) if you register by 11 November 2002, and EUR 738 (US$ 725) for registration after that date.
